A Summer Staple in the Making

This revere collar shirt has proved to be an excellent purchase and one I can already see becoming a regular part of my summer wardrobe.

As with my previous order, it arrived very promptly and was beautifully packaged, which immediately gave a sense of care and quality.

The fit is just right for the style — relaxed and comfortable without appearing loose or untidy. The revere collar gives it a wonderfully period appearance and lifts it far above an ordinary modern short-sleeved shirt. It has that easy elegance associated with summer clothing of the late 1930s and 1940s, while still being entirely practical to wear today.

In the recent hot weather it has been especially welcome: light, comfortable and easy to wear, yet still smart enough to feel properly dressed. Worn with high-waisted trousers or Gurkha shorts, it creates exactly the sort of relaxed summer look I was hoping for.

The white colour makes it exceptionally versatile and I can see this becoming one of those dependable pieces reached for again and again throughout the warmer months.

Splendid Pair of Shorts — Style from Another Age

These Gurkha shorts have been an absolute delight.

My order arrived remarkably quickly and was beautifully and carefully packaged, which made a very favourable first impression before I had even tried them on.

The fit is excellent. They sit properly at the natural waist, just as this style should, while the broad waistband, side adjusters and pleated front give them a wonderfully distinctive period appearance. They are comfortable without looking overly casual and have that rare quality of feeling practical whilst still allowing a gentleman to look properly dressed.

The stone colour is extremely versatile and, worn with a simple cotton shirt and neckerchief, they have already become a favourite for these particularly warm summer days.

What I especially appreciate is that these are not merely modern shorts with a passing nod towards the past. They have genuine character and capture the spirit and elegance of an earlier period beautifully.

Accidentally ordered the wrong size, sent it back with no hassle and the dress was definitely worth the wait! I thought it was going to be a "pre-wrapped" dress but it isn't, it fully opens like a dressing gown which allows it to be so incredibly flattering.
