⁣We have a ‘no quibble’ returns policy as long as the item(s) are returned back to us unworn with all tags intact and in re-sellable condition. ⁣⁣

For UK customers:⁣⁣
Please return any unsuitable item(s) within 14 days of receiving your order. Inside the parcel please include the original invoice and a note on how you would like to proceed with your order. ⁣⁣

For International customers:
Please return any unsuitable item(s) within 28 days of receiving your order. Inside the parcel please include the original invoice and the returns form where you can specify how you’d like us to process your order. Please also ensure to attach the clear wallet which states “RETURNED GOODS TO UK SUPPLIER” to the outside of your parcel.⁣⁣

We aim to have returns completed within 48 hours of receiving them back to our warehouse, and you will receive an email notification if a refund has been processed. ⁣⁣

Refunds usually take between 3 - 5 working days to clear in your account. ⁣⁣

⁣At the moment we, unfortunately, are not able to cover return postage costs. ⁣
However, in the unlikely event should you receive a faulty garment, we will happily provide you with a return label (for UK customers only) or refund the postage cost back to you. ⁣

EU CUSTOMERS:

We are IOSS registered, meaning that shopping with us is easier than ever.

IOSS stands for Import One-Stop Shop. With this system, we can handle VAT upfront, so there are no surprises at customs - everything is finalised at checkout.

All EU taxes are included at checkout for orders under €150. Orders above this amount will still be subject to customs duties.

For EU orders above €150 and rest of world:

Any orders made outside of the UK may be subject to import/customs duty. We are not able to confirm if/how much these charges may be as they are subject to the individual country's customs authority. ⁣

Import fees must be covered by the customer, however UK VAT is taken off your order which helps cover these potential fees.⁣

*U.S. CUSTOMERS*

From Friday 22nd August 2025, we will begin collecting prepayment for important duties and tariffs on all orders to the United States.

Tariffs will be taken upfront at checkout to avoid shipping delays and refusal at U.S. customs.

Duties and tariffs are approximately 49% of your order value and will be displayed at checkout.

For example, a $50 order would incur an additional $24 charge:

$50 → $24

$100 → $49

$150 → $73

$200 → $98

$250 → $122

$300 → $147

We only pass on the exact costs charged by Royal Mail, and we do not make any profit from these charges.

Yes! We're delighted to confirm The Seamstress of Bloomsbury is fully compliant with EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR).

We ship worldwide via Royal Mail on a tracked and signed for service. Substantial orders will be shipped via UPS instead of Royal Mail. ⁣

Order before 3 PM GMT for same-day dispatch.⁣

On very rare occasions we may not be able to complete your order in full due to an out of stock item. Should this happen, we will contact you urgently to notify you and arrange either an alternative or a full refund. ⁣

Our core lines will be continuously restocked every 4 weeks (approximately). ⁣
The best thing to do is sign up on the product page to be notified when your colour/size becomes available again. All you need to do is select the options you’d like and enter your email address. You’ll receive an email when the item is restocked. ⁣

We work with trust factories across the UK, EU, and select international regions, where all employees are treated fairly and work in safe, healthy conditions. Importantly, non of our garments are produced in sweatshops.
